Pimpi is an independent craft person living in Indonesia. Graduated from Jakarta Institute of Art majoring in Craft.
She genuinely drawn to textiles as her medium, from silk printing, block printing, to sashiko and now she adore Katazome the Japanese traditional stencil dyeing technique. Katazome allows her to transfer her drawing to textiles through several interesting process, She enjoys the process especially carving the stencil. She had carving many of stencils and using Katazome creations to make traditional and experimental textiles for garments and interiors.
Pimpi passionately try to translate the Katazome technique in her country, Indonesia.She try and see if the same technique could be achievable with local supplies.

She is not an abstract artist. Pattern is what she passionate about, pattern found in natural form around her like animals, flowers, leafs. And she has a special concern to endangered animals.
